This badge is for someone who goes above and beyond for their community, and/or is knowledgeable of the information in their area.
- Person must be nominated by another member of the community.
- Send a written statement of how they have supported people or community groups.
Keep moving
This badge is for community members who deliver exercise courses to the community for free or small charge. Apply for the badge with:
- Evidence of safe practice, eg. certificates of courses being delivered;
- Evidence of providing free of charge or small fee to community groups;
- Evidence of insurance (if you're a trainer).
Super connector
This badge is for someone who has broad local knowledge and connects third sector/ community groups/ LA and social services together.
- Send a written statement on your role within the community, employed or volunteering.
- Arrange for a confirmation statement by employer or placement that agrees with your statement.
IT wizard
This badge is for someone who shares skills and knowledge to promote digital inclusion. This can be Whatsapp, Facebook messenger, microsoft packages etc.
- Submit a written statement on how you have supported people in the community to access online resources.
Marketing guru
This badge is given to someone who supports others to set up social media accounts, can assist in helping with marketing materials.
- Email us evidence of where you have supported 1 or more groups to promote their organisation/charity or event.
Funder finder
This badge is given to someone who has broad knowledge in applying for and gaining access to funding opportunities.
- Written statement of how you have provided support to an organisation and what exactly you helped them.
- Include: What, When, Why, How?
Multi-lingual
This badge is given to organisations who can communicate in more than English.
- Email us evidence that someone in the organisation can communicate in English and other languages.
- Written statement or telephone call from the multi-lingual speakers.
Eco warrior
This badge is given to someone who promotes climate and environmental issues, promotes green social prescribing and offers access to outdoor facilities.
- Send us evidence of what your group is doing to improve climate/environmental issues.
- These can include photos, posters, statements.
Volunteer champion
This badge is given to someone who actively participates and encourages volunteering in their area and has supported 2 or more projects with volunteering.
- Provide us with evidence of volunteering roles.
- Send us written references from your roles.
Ask the expert
Interlink is recruiting people from the community and voluntary sector who can provide paid advice and support – we call this peer support. We are currently recruiting people who can help give paid advice on:
- Accessing the outdoors (green social prescribing);
- Using technology;
- Planning to start-up activities after Covid 19.
Rising star
This badge is given to someone aged 16-25 who goes above and beyond to support their community.
- Provide us with evidence of volunteering, supporting people in the community, being kind to others etc.
- Send us references from those supported.
Grass root
This badge is given to a group that has been set up by the community, for the community.
- Email us a written statement, including an overview of the group, when it was established and who is involved.
